The price of rubber is rising sharply！

On September 19, 2024, the main price of rubber exceeded 18,000 Yuan, and the price per ton was 18,020 Yuan, and the main price of rubber continued to rise. Today, the main opening price of rubber was still 17,700 Yuan, and it directly broke through 18,000 Yuan/ton in the afternoon. In early August this year, the price of rubber remained at 14,000 Yuan per ton. Just one and a half months, the price of rubber rose by more than 4,000 Yuan per ton, an increase of more than 30%.

Tires are composed of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, carbon black, steel and a variety of chemical raw materials. Natural rubber accounts for 28% and synthetic rubber accounts for 26%, and these two raw materials account for more than 50%. Therefore, the increase in rubber prices is also the first factor affecting the cost of tire manufacturing.

The General Administration of Customs of China announced the export data for August 2024. The data showed that in the first eight months of 2024, China's rubber tire exports reached 6.19 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%; the export value was 109.2 billion Yuan.

Among them, the export volume of new pneumatic rubber tires reached 5.97 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%; the export value was 105.2 billion Yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%. In terms of the number of tires, the export volume reached 453.35 million, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%.

From January to August, the export volume of automobile tires was 5.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%; the export value was 90.8 billion Yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%.
