Chinese tyres moving on with high tariff

Since September 18, 2024, in less than half a month, Chinese tire companies have received "warning letters" from three regions around the world!

Brazil intends to increase import tariffs on Chinese passenger car tires to 25% in the next 12 months;

South Africa will launch an anti-circumvention investigation on tires produced and exported by China in Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam;

Mexico directly imposed anti-dumping duties of up to 32.24% on passenger car and light truck tires from China on October 1.

If the UK's proposal to increase tariffs on Chinese truck tires, which also occurred this year, is added, India continues to decide on double anti-dumping on Chinese truck tires, and the United States has implemented anti-dumping sanctions on Thai truck tires. China's tire exports are in unprecedented difficulties in 2024.
